About Riley School of Irish Music

The Craobh Riley CCÉ was founded in 1999. It grew out of the Riley School of Irish Music http://www.rileyirishmusic.com , founded in 1996 by Susan Cross Gilligan, as a community of children, teens and adults dedicated to the pursuit of Irish traditional music. Classes are held on Saturdays, mostly in the morning. A tradition of home-made soup and bread for lunch, followed by announcements and a short musical presentation has helped build a tight community of musicians at all levels of expertise.

Riley hosted the Midwest Fleadh in 2015 and 2016. Our individual players and bands look forward to competing in Saint Louis this year.
